Yoga for Digestive Health
Join Ingrid Jolley to discover how yoga and mindfulness meditation can greatly benefit your digestive health.
Modern day living can be fast paced and stressful, which can compromise the digestive system. As our overall health and well-being is greatly affected by our digestive health, this workshop will explore a range of different practices that aim to counter the effects of modern day living for great gut health.
The 2.5 hour workshop will involve:
- Deep relaxation in restorative yoga postures to release abdominal tension and reduce symptoms associated with common digestive issues;
- Guided meditation (including eating meditation) to reduce stress and calm the nervous system, which soothes the digestive system and increase your ability to absorb essential nutrients;
- Pranayama breathing exercises and self massage to naturally stimulate the digestive system.
We recommend you do not eat 2 hours prior to this workshop. If you have any dietary requirements please let me know. All levels and abilities are welcome.
